To our readers,
First, I would like to thank you for taking an interest in Concordia’s new online news magazine. You might be wondering why we have taken on this project; well, we here at The Clippings staff would like to create a vehicle for creativity, with contributions coming from students, faculty and staff in order to both challenge and excite our readers. Collectively, members of the Concordia faculty and I have acknowledged the critical need for effective and timely communication within the Concordia community. The Compass was outdated, and The Clippings now replaces it. A monthly and daily edition of this news magazine will be available online via Concordia College’s website. The monthly section will feature articles regarding updates about athletics, creative works from students, faculty and student-based articles, and local news and events, while the daily section will focus more on basic news about the college, our student body, faculty, announcements, and events which need to be relayed for the week.
We hope to build a stronger community through communication, so your opinions and contributions to this project are welcomed and greatly appreciated. If you would like to be a part of The Clippings staff, feel free to contact me at theclippings@concordia-ny.edu for details.
